How to install

  1. Install NeoForge, or Fabric Loader plus Fabric API, for the exact Minecraft version listed on your download.
  2. Launch the game once with that profile so the folders are created.
  3. Open .minecraft/mods and copy the downloaded jar into it.
  4. Start Minecraft, press G in game to open the XRay GUI and add your blocks.

The loader must be built for the same Minecraft version as the jar. Fabric needs Fabric Loader 0.15+ and the matching Fabric API; NeoForge needs any recent patch of that version's NeoForge line.

Which Advanced XRay build should I use?
Only the newest build for each Minecraft version is listed. Pick the card that matches your Minecraft version exactly — that jar is the current supported release for it.
Which loader versions are supported?
NeoForge builds need the NeoForge loader released for that exact Minecraft version (any recent patch of that line works). Fabric builds need Fabric Loader 0.15 or newer plus the Fabric API jar built for the same Minecraft version. Loaders from a different Minecraft version will refuse to load the mod.
Does Fabric need anything extra?
Yes — Fabric API for your Minecraft version must sit in the mods folder alongside Advanced XRay, otherwise the game crashes on startup.
Where do I find older Minecraft releases?
Minecraft 1.20 and below are no longer listed here. Every historical build, including legacy Forge jars, stays available in the GitHub release archive.
Is Advanced XRay allowed on servers?
It is a client-side mod, but many multiplayer servers ban x-ray use. Check the rules of any server before joining with it installed.
